The Spectrum Necklace

Oval stones run the whole arc of colour, from deep sapphire blue through emerald green, citrine gold, fiery orange, garnet red, tender pink and finally violet amethyst, set in twin rows edged with diamond. A rainbow drawn in gemstones, each stone chosen for the purity of its hue and its harmony with its neighbours. The two arcs sit close together, separated only by a fine spine of white gold and brilliant-cut diamonds that catches light between every colour change. The setting holds each oval low and open-backed, allowing the stones to breathe and saturate with light from within. Worn against the skin, the necklace follows the collarbone in a gentle, unbroken crescent. To compose a spectrum is to rehearse colour itself. Every stone was matched by eye, graduated so that each transition feels inevitable rather than forced. The result is a piece that reads as a single luminous gesture, quiet enough to study yet vivid enough to hold a room.
