The Ruby Cascade Ring

A sculptural ring that runs the length of the finger: a river of oval rubies, each haloed by marquise and round diamonds set in white gold. The rubies are graduated in size, their deep red saturations playing against the cool brilliance of the surrounding stones, so that colour and light seem to pulse in quiet alternation. Every setting is precisely angled to let the stones breathe, allowing each oval ruby its own frame of pointed marquise tips and round brilliant accents. The gallery beneath is open and finely worked, giving the composition an airiness that belies its visual weight. Worn across the finger, the ring reads less as ornament and more as architecture, a miniature colonnade of colour.
