The Crimson Leaf Ring

A glowing domed cabochon in deep crimson is wrapped by leaves pavéd in emerald and diamond, with a small yellow gem and emerald bud unfurling at the crown: fire held in a thicket of green. The central stone, smooth and steeply domed, carries the saturated warmth of pigeon-blood red, its surface gathering and releasing light with each movement of the hand. The botanical surround is rendered in fine white gold wirework, each leaf individually set with rows of graduated emeralds that darken toward the tips. Tiny diamonds trace the veins between, lending a quiet sparkle that recedes as soon as it catches the eye. At the apex, a single yellow gem sits within a cluster of emerald rounds, a bud poised at the moment before opening. Worn, the ring sits close to the finger with a gentle heft. The cabochon's dome rises just proud of the leaf canopy, so the piece reads as sculpture in miniature, a private garden one carries through the day.
