The Blue Bloom Ring

A bright round blue topaz sits at the heart of this ring, encircled by a sunburst of amethyst marquises and brilliant diamonds that radiate outward like the petals of a flower caught in full bloom. The contrast of cool blue against violet and white light gives the composition a layered depth, each stone reinforcing the luminosity of its neighbour. Beneath the crown, a pavé blossom of diamonds curls around the band, its micro-set stones following the curve of the finger with botanical precision. The white gold mount is worked to remain slender and light, letting the colour of the gemstones command attention while the metalwork recedes into quiet structure. Worn on the hand, the ring shifts between restraint and exuberance. From a distance it reads as a single point of vivid blue; up close, the marquise halo and pavé tendrils reveal themselves slowly, rewarding a longer gaze.
